Visiting International Baptist
Visiting any church for the very first time can be a tough experience. Well, we want to put you at ease. Your first visit to International Baptist will be refreshing, friendly, and enjoyable for your whole family. We want you to experience inspiring music, helpful teaching and preaching, friendly people, and a place where you feel welcome and “at home”! Here are a few answers to your questions and what you might expect on your first visit.
When are your services?
International Baptist is a multi-campus ministry. We have services in two locations. Our main worship services are Sunday mornings at 9:00 at our Stony Brook (Long Island) campus and 11:30 at our Brooklyn campus. Since our two campuses are totally different in nature and the schedules are different, we have answered questions under each campus that apply to that campus.

What can I expect on my first visit?
Our church campus is located at the busy intersection of Coney Island Avenue and Park Circle. There are two main entrances to our building that our frequent attenders use. Our main entrance is attached to our parking lot which is on Caton Place. Our parking attendants will help you find a place to park, and as you enter the church building, one of our hospitality greeters will meet you and direct you to the right classes and services. They can also answer other questions you may have. Our other entrance is located by the Park Circle across from TD Bank.
Most adults attend the worship service where they enjoy the beautiful and inspiring music of the choir and the uplifting special music. The music is always followed by a clear, helpful, and challenging Bible message from Pastor Cazis. This service is a little over one hour in length. Also, at 10:15 there are adult Bible classes. These classes are smaller group settings where you are invited to meet people, enjoy perhaps some coffee and donuts, and hear a teaching lesson more directly applicable to your life-stage. The best way to get to know people at International Baptist Church is to visit one of these adult Bible classes.
Where do I take my children?
Starting with excellent nurseries, there is something special for every age child. At every service there is a safe, clean, and highly staffed nursery for children three years old and under. For the nursery age children, parents will check your child into the nursery through our Kid-Check Program. This ensures that your child is safely kept in the nursery and keeps your child safe in the nursery after entering. On Sunday morning, children three years old through sixth grade have fun, friendly, and Bible-centered classes. These classes are staffed with trained, friendly, and well-qualified teachers and helpers who will make church exciting and memorable for your child. When you arrive, our greeters and ushers are located around campus as well as in the lobby and will gladly help direct and even escort you to the right place.
What about my teens?
We have a very exciting program for our teens every week. In Brooklyn, Teen Bible Classes begin at 10:15 and then at 11:30 the teenagers have an exciting service of their own that is held in our lower level.
How should I dress?
There is not a dress code at International Baptist Church for members or guests. Our ministry leaders and many of our church family dress in more traditional “Sunday” dress; however, our main goal is that you would feel welcome and comfortable on your visit here at International Baptist!
Who is Pastor Ray Cazis?
Pastor Ray Cazis has been the Senior Pastor of International Baptist Church since 2008. He is also the chancellor of International Bible College, which is a ministry of International Baptist Church. You can read more about him here, or follow him on Twitter.
Am I expected to participate in the Offering?
No. We don’t invite you to International Baptist Church for your offering. We want our service to be a gift to you. We hope you will find in this place a warm family spirit, truth from God’s Word, and a place where you can grow in God’s grace. Please don’t feel any obligation to participate in the offering as a guest.
If there’s something we missed on this list, just give us a call, or ask someone when you arrive. Whether you’re new to the area and looking for a church home, or if it’s been a long time since you’ve attended church at all, we hope your first visit at International Baptist will be awesome! We exist to serve you and your family, and we are looking forward to meeting you personally. We hope you’ll feel right at home from the very first moment you step onto campus! Let us know how we can serve you better, and we hope to meet you this Sunday!
